- Originally Carshalton UD. In use from 1908-1947, was closed by the NFS. Now in use by the library
Michael Bissett-Powell
- row of garages opposite were used by WW2 AFS and Civil Defence
- It functioned as a fire station throughout WW2 but in 1948 Surrey Fire Brigade made it a satellite station of nearby Sutton, a fact which so enraged the local population that a single fireman was stationed at Carshalton although armed only with a telephone but no fire engine.
